ALBERT THOMAS HILL "Tom" Mr. Hill died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 in Henderson, TX. He was born May 31, 1966 in West Palm Beach, FL to the late James Albert Hill and Donna Jean Hixon Hill. He moved to New London, TX six years ago and was a heavy equipment operator in the Land Development and Oil Field Industry.
Survivors include a son, Tristan Hill, New London, TX; three daughters, Victoria Elaine Ranson, Laurel Hill and Lenora Hill, all of New London, TX; his mother, Donna Hill Wingold and James Wingold of West Palm Beach, FL; grandmother, Dorothy Hixon of Longview, TX; five brothers, Scott Hill, Robert Hill, and Russ Hill, all of West Palm Beach, FL; James Hill and Jonathan Hill of Colorado; and several nieces and nephews. Tom was a devote family man, patriot and environmentalist, a great son, father, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed.
Services for Albert Thomas "Tom" Hill, 44, New London, TX will be at 12:00 PM., Saturday, April 9, at the London Baptist Church, New London, TX with Reverend Ken Hayman officiating. Wright Sargeant, son of Marion and Lucy Wilson Sargeant, was born May 30, 1896, at Bentonsport and departed this life Thursday, Nov. 3, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Ottumwa at the age of 74.
The family moved to a farm between Selma and Douds in 1914, and he resided on the same farm until he retired and moved to Selma in 1964.
On February 11, 1922, he was married to Nelda Trout at Leando. She remains to cherish his memory along with their daughter, Helen and son-in-law, Kenneth Glattfelder and three grandchildren, Terri, Donnie and Kenneth Jr. of Ottumwa; a brother, Glen Sargeant of Sioux City; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
A brother and a sister preceded him in death.
As a boy, he joined the Methodist Church at Bentonsport.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m. at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Willis Grant, United Methodist Church pastor, officiating. Internment was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. (17 Nov 1970.)
