Linda Collingwood Bowman, 34, Dies of Cancer in Canada
Services for Linda (Mrs. Thomas G.) Bowman, 34, Chatham, Ontario, Canada, were held Tuesday, April 1, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran church, Williamsburg, The Rev. Myron C. Maltz officiated.
Mrs. Bowman died in General hospital, Chatham, Friday, Mar. 28, 1980. She had been ill for one and one-half years of cancer and was hospitalized the past three and one-half months.
Mrs. Myron C. Maltz was organist for the service.
Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery, Victor. Casket bearers were: Tom Bowman, Victor; Cecil, Howard and Kevin Collingwood; Williamsburg; Gene Collingwood, Blairstown; Gordon Teggatz, Cedar Rapids.
Linda Irene Collingwood was born, Nov. 16, 1945 on a farm near Marengo, in Iowa County, the daughter of Mervin L. and Ruth Messer Collingwood. She was baptized Mar. 31, 1946 and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran church, Millersburg, May 31, 1959. She began attending the Millersburg school and after reorganization of the school districts went to the Williamsburg schools.
Wilma Louise Moore, 88 of Bogata, died on Sunday, May 27, 2018 in Brentwood Terrace of Paris. She was born on August 7, 1929 in Cuthand, Texas, the daughter of Emmett and Dorothy Wilson Moore.
She married Russell Moore on August 2, 1947. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1976. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Dotty Pemberton and her parents. She was retired from the JC Penney Company and was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Bogata.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Ricky Nolen of Gilmer; grandchildren: Jody Nolen of Longview and Julie Smith of Arkansas; great-grandchildren: Jessica Weatherall of Gilmer and Jerrica Weatherall of Denton; former son-in-law, Richard Pemberton and wife, Mary Lou of Atlanta; step grandchildren: Charles Pemberton and wife Amanda of Maud; Amy Yawn and husband, Randy of Wier, Texas; step-grandchildren: Emily, Leah, and Megan Pemberton and Carter Yawn.
Funeral Services have been scheduled for Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 10:30 am in the First Baptist Church of Bogata with Reverend George Spears officiating. Burial will follow in Bogata Cemetery.
