ARTHUR J BOYCE
Arthur J Boyce, 84, who for 60 years worked as linotype operator and proof reader on the New York Times and the New York Herald Tribune, died Monday at Tompkins County Memorial hospital, Ithaca, after being ill for ten days.
Private funeral services were held at 2 pm Wednesday in Dryden, the Rev R E Gould of Berkshire officiating. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery, Berkshire. Dryden Lodge F & AM No 472 conducted services at 8 pm.
Mr. Boyce was born Dec 27, 1866 in Youngville, Sullivan County, the son of Minnie and Dewey Boyce.
Mr. Boyce retired from newspaper work ten years ago. He lived in Berkshire six years and in Dryden for the past four years.
He was a member of Berkshire Congregational Church, the Typographical Union and for 41 years a member of Sandalphon Lodge 336 of Brooklyn.
He was married to Miss Maryetta Royce of Berkshire 52 years ago.
Surviving are his widow; two sons Dr George Boyce of Brigham City, Utah and Jerome Boyce of Reno, Nev; two daughters, Mrs. Andre Wersinger of Carney, NJ and Mrs. Arthur Ford of Nutley, NJ; eight grandchildren and five great granddaughters; a sister, Mrs. F W Midgley of New Haven, Conn; a brother Harry Boyce of Florida.

Gerald Carroll, 82, died Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Cathedral Health Care Center in Jasper.
He is survived by his first cousin, Mary Alice Sylvester of Lansing, IL.
Funeral 11am, EST, Friday, March 6, 2015 at the chapel of Cathedral Health Care Center in Jasper with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg. Arrangements by Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.
