Paul L. Stone, long time resident of Sutherlin, OR met his Savior on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 90 years of age.
Paul was born and raised in Genesee, PA, a place he always loved. After graduation he joined the U.S. Marines and proudly served during World War II.
He married Darlean Boardwell and together they raised six children. One son: Ronald Paul died at age 11. Darlean passed away after 52 years of marriage.
In 1998 Paul and Beverly Johnston were married. Paul often said that God had blessed him with two good wives!
Paul is survived by his wife Beverly, children Jim, Kathy, David, Vicki and Tom. His brother: Robert, three stepsons and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
Paul's caregivers Julie and Aimee were exceptional. He loved God, his family, driving back roads, the coast and NY Yankees. He was also very proud of his service in the US Marines. Paul was a member of the Sutherlin Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Veterans of Foreign War #2468.
Cremation was handled by Sutherlin Chapel of the Roses with inurnment in the Roseburg National Cemetery.
A gathering to honor Paul is planned on his birthday, April 16, 2013 He was loved by many and is greatly missed. SEMPER FI!

STONE, H. Darlean—Age 73, of Oakland, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 1997 in a local hospital. She was born on June 10, 1924 in Long Beach, California. On June 29, 1945 she was united in marriage to Paul L. Stone.
After raising 5 children she returned to school, became a school teacher and taught school in both public and private schools for approximately 12 years.
At the time of her death she was the hospice Volunteer Coordinator for Columbia Douglas Medical Center. She was a member of the Sutherlin S.D.A. Church. She was a loving wife and mother whose caring and giving for others always came before her own needs and concerns.
She is survived by: her husband, Paul of Oakland; son, James of Sparks, Nevada; son David of Clackamas, Oregon; daughter, Kathleen Martindale of Salem, Oregon; daughter, Victoria Otis of Lincoln, Nebraska; son Thomas of Iron River, Wisconsin; sister, Pat Bearden of Roseburg; brother, Bob Bordwell of Long Beach, California; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 1 brother and a son, Ronald Paul Stone.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, June 29, 1997 at 2:00p.m. at the Sutherlin S.D.A. Church.

Judith E. DiCenso, 89, of Loyalsock Township, died on May 28, 2015, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center. She was born Sept. 8, 1925, in Canton, the daughter of Dr. Ernest and Mabel Dryer Strauss. Upon her father's death she was then raised by her mother and stepfather, Lawrence Zimmerman ("Zimmy").
She graduated from Canton High School, Class of 1943.
Judy was a very active and unselfish lady. She was the type of person that if you only met her once, you could never forget you met her. She left a very positive impression upon everyone she touched.
Judy's working career consisted of managerial and sales positions in the food service industry; namely the Wheel Inn, Inc., the Oaks Club, and the Holiday Inn of Williamsport. Upon moving to Williamsport in 1957, she continued her interests in cooking and entertaining.
She was the recipient of numerous cooking awards throughout the east coast, and some of her best recipes found their way into many cook books.
She was a member of the Williamsport Hospital Auxiliary, the Lycoming County Historical Society, the Loyalsock Garden Club, Wheel Inn, Inc. and the Clio Club.
A former Board member of the Williamsport Home, M.S. Society, American Lung Association, and the Williamsport-Lycoming County Council of Republican Women. She was past President of the Montoursville Garden Club, and was the first female member and the first female President of Loyalsock Kiwanis Club.
Preceding her was her husband, Alfred A. DiCenso; a stepdaughter, Karen Doherty; and a stepgranddaughter, Ann DiCenso.
Surviving are a son, of Loyalsock Township; a stepson, of Annapolis, Md.; a sister, of Poughquag, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. There are numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial in Wildwood Cemetery.
