Laura Chamberlain Spaulding, 79, of 532 Elm St., Syracuse, died Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center.
Born in Hanover, N.H., she lived in Malden, Mass., Tampa, Fla., and New York City before moving to Syracuse in 1955. She attended Middlebury College and was a graduate of the Katherine Gibbs School in Boston. She was a member of the St. Vincent De Paul's Church choir and home bureau.
Survivors: Her husband, Arthur Hugh; two daughters, Janet Roshia of Syracuse and the Rev. Elizabeth Spaulding of Buffalo; a son, Dr. Stephen A. of Horseheads; a sister, Elizabeth Albrecht of Madison, Wis.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Services: 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in St. Vincent De Paul's Church. Burial, Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours, 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 3111 James St., Syracuse.

Arthur Hugh Spaulding, 97, of Syracuse, died on Thursday in Montour Falls, NY. He was born in Syracuse, the son of Arthur William and Elizabeth Spaulding. His 42 year career was with the Continental Can Company in manufacturing in Syracuse, Malden, MA, Tampa, Florida, at the NYC headquarters and then as Upstate Sales Representative when he returned to Syracuse in 1955. He was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, where he sang in the choir for over 60 years. He also sang with the Liedercranz Club and the Onondaga Chorus of S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. He helped the City of Syracuse locate Henninger High School at Sunnycrest, and served as Vice President of the Northeast Hawley Development Organization. He was on the board of Ludovico house among other civic and church contributions. He shared generously his love for the Adirondacks and enjoyed skiing into his 70s. He is survived by two daughters, Janet (Gerald) Roshia, Rev. Betsy Spaulding; a son, Dr. Stephen A. (Dr. Theresa) Spaulding; grandchildren, Christopher (Mitzi) Spaulding, Tara, Bethany (Luan) Pham, Timothy Spaulding, Ralph R. Roshia, Laura E., William A. and Mary Claire Spaulding; two great-grandsons, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews; and dear friend, Lucienne Jenners. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Laura Chamberlain Spaulding; son, Dana Herbert Spaulding and his six brothers and sisters. Calling hours are Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home. Funeral services are Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Vincent dePaul Church. Burial to follow in the Onondaga County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. QUAKERTOWN, Pa. -- Judith A. Spaulding, 58, of Quakertown, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006, at her home. She was the wife of the late Dana H. Spaulding.
Born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Benedetto and Veronica (Donah) Mazzola.
She was a local craft artisan.
She is survived by two sons, Christopher B. of La Plata, Md., and Timothy A. of Quakertown; two daughters, Tara L. of Phoenix, Ariz., and Bethany L. of Quakertown; a sister, Cindie M. Goodrow and her husband Thomas of West Chazy, N.Y.; and two grandchildren, Christopher and Aryn.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. A memorial service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
