Our kind and generous husband, father, and grandfather, Glenn Anderson Lloyd, 83, passed away at home on Feb 4, 2001.
His love of puzzles became his favorite pastime. He was born January 1, 1918 to Cleon and Christena Anderson Lloyd. Glenn married Slyvia Anne Spears in 1941, she passed away in 1980. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
He is survived by his three children, Jack Lloyd (Pam), Barbara Mitchell (Mike), Kristie Ford (John); ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He owned and operated Lloyd's Tire Shop in Midvale until 1980.
Glenn married Shirley Cook in 1981. He is survived by his wife Shirley Cook Lloyd and three stepchildren, Lance Cook, Cher Bailey, and Sue Stauffer (Steve), eight step-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents and stepfather Freeman Lloyd, sisters Dorothy Nellen, Birdella Lloyd, Mary Slater and stepdaughter April Holder.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State St., where a viewing will be held for family and friends Wednesday, from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Interment Murray City Cemetery.
