KINGSLEY - MARIAN K. YOUNG, 90, of E. Smithfield, died Thursday, March 2, 2000, at home. Born in Smithfield Township, March 26, 1909, the daughter of Gilbert I. and Elizabeth Brown Kingsley. She was a graduate of East Smithfield High School, Athens High School and Mansfield Normal College. She taught school in East Smithfield before her marriage to Damon Young in 1929. She was a member of East Smithfield Federated Church.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bennett and Phyllis Young of East Smithfield; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Robert Bishop of Middletown, Ohio; six grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gilberta Kellogg of Elmira, N.Y.; sister-in-law, Evelyn Kingsley, of East Smithfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents; infant son, Robert; a brother Jerome Kingsley; and her husband, Damon in 1977. At her request funeral service will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, East Smithfield. Memorial donations may be made to East Smithfield Federated Church or Towanda Memorial Hospital Hospice, 1 Hospital Drive, Towanda, Pa.
