An employee of the Bissell Carpet Sweeper company for 22 years, he had been foreman of the assembly departement for several years. He was stricken while at work. Surviving are the widow, Dorothy and five children.1

Hall, both of Grand Rapids; four daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Dorothy) White of Detroit, Mrs. William (Hazel) Dent, Mrs. Jacob (Lucrecia) Fox, Mrs. Merton (Vera) Seeley, all of Grand Rapids; 16 grand children, 10 great grand children; two step sons and two step daughters; one sister, Mrs. George Hyers of Grand Rapids, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30pm at the Joldersma Funeral Home, 832 Grandville Av. SW, Rev. David Otis Fuller officiating. Internment in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Boss reposes at the chapel, where relatives and friends may meet the family from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm.1

Kenneth Alton White, age 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2015, and is now in the presence of his Lord. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Jean White (Dent); his son, Douglas White; and his parents, Cecil and Viola White.

Kenneth will be lovingly remembered by his children, Randy White, Jeff White, Nancy Russell, Kimberlee (Bruce) Demmink, Darrell (Cheryl) White, Susan (Dennis) French, Aimee (Tuan) Do; his many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; his sisters, Dawn Simmonis, Shirley (Ralph) Andree, Carole Merriwether, Mary Linear; and many nieces and nephews.

He served in the US Marine Corps with tours in WWII and Korea. Ken was an active member of Woodward Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, travel, and talking about the Lord. Ken loved his kids and grandkids very much.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 3, at Woodward Baptist Church in Byron Center, 2160 – 76th St. SW – with service time pending. Rev. Lance Laker will officiate. Interment will be at Grandville Cemetery.

In honor of Ken, contributions may be made to Woodward Baptist Church.

SNIDER, DAWN ARLENE Dawn Arlene (Dent) Snider, aged 82, of Wyoming, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 11, 2013. Dawn enjoyed life and family and had many good years at their place at Hardy Dam with her husband. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Wyoming. She was preceded by her husband, John; and her grandson, Jason Warning. She is survived by her children, Pamela Warning, John and Karen Snider; five grandchildren, Tammy (Luis), Jodie (Rob), Mark (Amy), Spencer and Addison; 11 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; special sister-in-law, Lorraine Dent; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Herm and Ann Snyder, Peter Snyder, Thressa Carton, and Katie Salic. The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday, from 6-9 PM and Wednesday from 10-10:50 AM at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo SE with a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment in Winchester Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Spectrum Health Hospice. Condolences may be sent online at www.mkdfuneralhome.com.
