DIED
SARGEANT. In Spirit Lake, February 20th, Austin Sargeant, aged eighty-three years.
Having long since passed the time alloted to man, death was not an unwelcome visitor to the deceased. For ten years he has been in poor health, suffering from a paralytic stroke which rendered him almost helpless several years prior to his death.
Austin Sargeant was born in Vermont and moved to Wisconsin in early life, where he was married, and later settled in Mitchell county, this state, which was the family home until 1882. Since then he has made his home with his sons, F. C. Sargeant and the late A. H. Sargeant. Previous to losing his health, Mr. Sargeant was an energetic man, Loyal and helpful to his family.
Besides the son. F. C. Sargeant, three daughters, two living in California and one in Wisconsin, survive him.
Funeral services were conducted in the Presbyterian church, Monday afternoon, By Rev. J. A. Ellis, after which the remains were taken to Mitchell county, accompanied by his son, to be laid beside the wife who departed this life years ago.
