• Francis A Burdett was born on 18 July 1821 in Grafton, Vermont.¹
• He managed the family farm while his father dealt in stock.They sold the farm and bought hotel property. Frank was the assistant manager of the hotel.¹
• He married Jeanette Mack on 24 April 1846 in Windham County, Vermont.¹
• In 1852 Frank & Jeanette went to California where he took up mining - they returned to Vermont in 1855.¹
• In 1856 Francis and Jeanette moved to Wisconsin staying in Zumbro for four years, and then moving to Lake City where he dealt in produce - with four warehouses in operation.¹
• He was an assessor in Zumbro for two year, and in Lake city for one year. Also, he was justice of the peace in Aumbro.¹
• Francis A Burdett was a wheat dealer.²
• He and Jeanette appeared on the 1880 US Federal Census of Lake, Wabasha County, Minnesota, enumerated on 12 June 1880.²
• He died in 1884 in Lake City, Minnesota, at age ~63.¹

• She married Francis A Burdett, son of Abel Burdett and Bathsheba Gibson, on 24 April 1846 in Windham County, Vermont.¹

• Francis D Burdett was born on 20 February 1846 in Rockingham, Vermont.¹
• He was in the Civil War, the 6th Minnesota Infantry Regiment, Co A, enlisting 18 Mar 1864, and discharged 9 months later. He had a disability discharge. When he left for the war he weighed 160 lbs - upon return, with his overcoat on, he wighed half that.....The disability was assitis (?) and cirrhosis of the liver.^1,2
• He married Patty Conway on 4 September 1870 in Wabash County, Indiana.¹
• Francis and Patty were divorced.¹
• He married Hattie Fitch on 4 July 1885 in Merrillan, Wisconsin.¹
• He died on 10 September 1907 in Mountain Home, Tennessee, at age 61 at the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers.¹
• The cause of his death was peritonitis.²
• He was buried in Mountain Home National Cemetery, Johnson City, Tennessee. Section B Row 3 Site 7.³
