Born in West Almond April 26, 1860; died January 28, 1938, son of Charles and Mary Jane Norton Wyse.
Married: Olin/Olive E. Lyon of West Almond, May 4, 1881; she died November 20, 1919. To this union three
daughters: Lillian M. Norton, Edna E. Schuyler, and L. Blanche Hills. Second marriage to Mrs. Nancy
Gagen of Belmont in March, 1926; she died in April 1932. Survived by two daughters; sister, Mrs. Addie
Crandall of Almond; daughter, Lillian M. Norton died five years ago. Burial in Angelica.
KAYSVILLE--Shirley Timby "Nana" Wittmann, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, 75, passed away Thursday, November 28, 1996 in Ogden.
She was born December 23, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of LeRoy H. and Ethel Eldredge Timby. She married George Calvin Wittmann on June 21, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah; their marriage was lager solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away June 6, 1972. Shirley graduated from the University of Utah. She was active in the LDS Church, Kaysville 9th Ward. Shirley was a volunteer at North Davis Hospital in the auxiliary for 18 years and had served as president. She was a volunteer at Weber County Library and an officer of the Kaysville Senior Citizens.
She is survived by four daughters, Pamela Whittmann, North Ogden; Paula (Bill) Dean, Howell, Utah; Patricia (Mark) Stevens, and Peggy (Terry) Davis, both of Kaysville, Utah; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Also, one sister, Marion Timby Winegar, Bountiful; She was preceded in death by husband and parents.
Funeral services will be held at Kaysville East LDS Stake Center, 201 South 600 East, at 11 a.m. Monday, December 2, 1996. Friends and family may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, and from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church on Monday. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
