Georgia Alberta Hanks was born on 16 September 1920 in Corry, Pennsylvania.¹
She appeared on the 1940 US Federal Census of 171 Main St, Cambridge springs, Crawford County, Pennsylvania, enumerated on 4 April 1940, in the household of her parents David Lester Hanks and Isabel.²
Georgia Alberta Hanks married Robert Irvin Shannon on 29 January 1942 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.¹
She died on 23 November 2014 in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, at age 94.¹
Georgia left 3 children, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.¹

Obituary - Georgia Shannon, age 94, of Reynoldsburg, passed away November 23, 2014. Georgia was born September 16, 1920, in Corry, Pennsylvania; the daughter of Lester and Isabel Hanks.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Shannon and is survived by children Bob (Pat) Shannon, Barbara (Phil Lynn) Shannon, and Carol (Jeff) Brocwell, brother Douglas Hanks; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

Georgia, a resident of Reynoldsburg since 1967, retired from Weilbacher's Suburban. The family wishes to thank Mother Angeline McCrory Manor for their loving care in her final years.

Georgia's family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 25, from 2-4 pm at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where a service will be held at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Mother Angeline McCrory Manor, 5199 East Broad Street, Columbus.
