Warren H. Cummings was born January 8, 1922, and died December 27, 2012, at Asbury Park, Newton.
Warren was born on the family farm in Hesston. He was the sixth child of Ella (Pfautz) and O.F. Cummings. As a small boy he would sit on the porch step waiting for his dad to bring a bucket of milk to the house and would fill his little tin cup.
Warren attended Hesston Grade School, his favorite subject being Kansas history. After graduating from eighth grade, he helped his father and older brother Earl with the farm work.
Warren met Lorraine Cummings at the Newton Skating Rink. On February 17, 1946, they were married at the Salem United Methodist Church, Newton.
Warren remained in farming all his life, using horses or mules, before tractors.
Besides his wife of 66 years, he is survived by two sons, Darryl of Hesston and Duane of the home; two daughters, Peggy Schroeder of Goessel area and Pam Riley of Newton; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. January 5, 2013, at the Highland Trinity UCC, Hesston, with Dr. Gary Blaine officiating. Cremation has taken place and burial will be January 5.

Obituary for Charlotte Ann Fox
Charlotte Ann Fox, 79, of Midwest City, passed away October 20, 2018. She was born December 28, 1938 in Chandler, OK to Delma and Thelma Smith. She was one of four girls – Freida Porter, Carolyn Williams, and Glenda Daman. Charlotte grew up and graduated from Chandler in 1956, then went to Oklahoma City to work. It was there that she met John Sullivan, and they married May 10, 1964. They remained married until John’s death in 1970. Charlotte was active in the Mid-Del PTA for many years, as well as Wickline Methodist Church, and enjoyed watching her nephews at their baseball and football games. She married Allen Fox on October 28, 1971, and were married until his passing in 2002. Charlotte loved her family and friends very much and will be missed dearly by each of them. Funeral services are 1:00p.m. Friday, October 26, 2018 at Wickline United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Sunnylane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Mid-Del PTA.

M. Lorraine Cummings, 91, died Sunday (March 11, 2018) at ComfortCare Homes, Newton.
She was born Oct. 28, 1926, in Dupo, Illinois, to Cecil I. and Beatrice M. (Williamson) Duty. Lorraine was a homemaker and member of Highland Trinity United Church of Christ.On Feb. 17, 1946, she married Warren H. Cummings in Newton. He died Dec. 27, 2012.
Lorraine is survived by her children: Darryl Cummings and wife Anita of Hesston, Duane Cummings and wife Mary of Burrton, Peggy Schroeder and husband Ken of Hillsboro and Pam Riley and husband Markus of Newton; brother, Bruce Duty of Lubbock, Texas; sisters, Elosie Purrington of Harlingen, Texas, and Sharon Robbins of Odessa, Texas; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, David and Bill Duty; and sister, Francelle Hensley.
Cremation is planned.Celebration of life service will be 2 p.m. Thursday (March 15, 2018) at Highland Trinity United Church of Christ, Newton. Private family inurnment will take place. Family will greet friends after the service.
