Bruce Phillip Fuller, of Falmouth, MA passed away on April 10, 2015 after a brief illness.
Bruce was a '54 graduate of St John's Prep, graduated from Temple University and received a Masters of Art from Columbia University. Bruce served in the US Marine Corp Reserves for 8 years and had a distinguished teaching and coaching career within the Greenwich CT Public School System from 1958 to 1989. Bruce married the love of his life, Therese Barry, on May 26th, 1962.
In retirement he was an assistant football coach for Martha's Vineyard High School helping to win two State Championships. Bruce was twice honored by the Greenwich Old Timers, earning a lifetime achievement award in 2013. Over the years he was an active volunteer with many organizations including the Red Cross, Call a Ride, the Food Pantry and Grace Episcopal Church on Martha's Vineyard and, finally, Falmouth Hospital.
An enthusiast of sports, pugs, and good company, Bruce was never happier than when with family and friends and often used the terms "Semper Fi" and "Good Luck, Good Sports and God Bless".
In addition to his wife he is survived by his sisters, Meryl Freeman, her husband Ted, and Dalene Rogers, many nieces and nephews including Mary, Mike, Tom, Jennifer, Evelyn, Michael, Julie and Corinne Feeley, Tom, Patti, Chris, and Devon Mullen, Kevin, Suzanne, Garry and Deidra Leonard, Michael, Paula, Mike and Helen Fuller.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church, 511 Main St, Falmouth, MA at 10:00 on April 22, 2015.
Donations may be made in Bruce's honor to Falmouth Hospital or St. John's Prep in Danvers, MA.
