Dorothy Bobbitt Hackney passed away on Saturday, September 9th in Los Gatos, CA. She was 89 years old.
Dorothy was a native of San Jose, CA. She was a member of the Theta Rho Girls Drama Club, Rainbow Girls, and a life member of Eastern Star and was installed in 1934. Dorothy was a member of Spartan Spears Sophomore Women's Service Society and was a member of Alpha Wesleyan service guild at First Methodist Church of San Jose. She was an accomplished pianist and studied Home Economics at San Jose State College. She also was a conference Page at the 29th State Annual DAR conference in 1937.
Dorothy loved to play the organ and was a seamstress. She loved crochet and embroidery and liked to read. She most of all loved her children and grandchildren, and loved to go out and eat good food.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters Lila Strong and Carla Fricano; grandchildren, Nina Blackmore and Dylan Blackmore; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held at Santa Cruz Memorial Park on Friday, September 15th at 11:00 a.m. Contributions preferred to the Diabetes Association or a favorite charity. All arrangements entrusted to the care of Santa Cruz Memorial Mission Chapel.

GOODRIDGE—In Pendleton, on the 6th inst,
Mary C. Goodridge, daughter of Lyman and
Mary Goodridge, aged 36 years.
Funeral at the family residence Thursday,
the 8th inst., at 10 A. M. Relatives and friends
are invited to attend.
