Clark Brent Call passed away peacefully after a short, courageous battle with Gliblastoma (brain tumor) in the early morning hours of January 3, 2014 in Saratoga Springs, Utah.

Brent was born June 18, 1941 in Ogden, Utah to Clark and Arva Holland Call. A few years later, the family moved to Twin Falls, Idaho. He graduated from Twin Falls High School and then served a LDS mission to the Northwestern States. Brent attended Utah State University, where he met the love of his life, Linda Lee Dives. The two fell in love and were married in the Logan LDS Temple on May 3, 1963. Together, they moved to Southern California.

Brent joined the police force on November 6, 1967 and served the City of Long Beach for thirty years. After retiring in 2003, Brent and Linda moved to Saratoga Springs. He continued his service for the City of Saratoga Springs. Not only did he work with the police department doing neighborhood watch, he also ran and won a seat on the City Council. Brent was respected by all. He and his lovely wife of fifty years served a LDS mission in Salt Lake City. He also served in many church callings, including in the Bishopric and High Council. His hobbies included motorcycle riding, golfing, and he was an expert when it came to cars. He was happiest when he was out in nature. He loved the mountains.

Family was everything to dad. His family was his life and was the only thing that could bring tears to this strong, tough man. He is survived by his loving wife, twin daughters, Kristy (Fred) Telarico and Kathy (John) McKay, son, Jeff (KaraLynne) Call, twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and his sister, Becky (Larry) Smith. Preceded in death by his parents and his son, David Call, who passed away in 2005.

We would like to express our appreciation for the kind and loving care given by Intermountain Home Care Hospice. Special thanks to Marie and Cindy who went above and beyond in making our father feel comfortable and loved.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2014 in the Jacobs Ranch First Ward Chapel, 267 West Weatherby Drive, Saratoga Springs. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, and from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the church prior to the services on Saturday. Interment: Highland City Cemetery.

Linda Lee Call departed this world on August 19th. She was 84. Born to Lorenzo and Lorraine Dives in Malad, Idaho on December 10th, 1940, Linda married her husband Brent in the Logan Temple in 1963.

Throughout her life, Linda was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The strength of her faith was reflected in her acts: She was Relief Society President in three different wards, and continuously active in her church community. Linda loved her family fiercely, and served as the glue that held them together. Those who were privileged to know Linda were graced by her kindness and generosity – given, as all true gifts are, without expectation of return or reward. In her personal life, Linda was devoted to the arts. She loved music, singing, and painting, along with a particular enthusiasm for all things Elvis.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Lorenzo and Lorraine, her two sisters Connie and Colleen, her husband Brent, and her beloved son David. Now they are reunited. She is survived by her three children: Jeff Call, Kristy Telarico, and Kathleen McKay; as well as twelve grandchildren (Erika, Jenni, Maddison, Katelyn, Emrys, Nick, Justin, Tyler, Andrew, Jessica, Josh, and Emily) and one great-grandchild, Caden. Although we commemorate Linda's physical passing, it's plain that her spirit lives on through them, as each one embodies her beauty, humility, and authenticity.

A viewing will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens in Sandy on September 1st between 10:30 and 11:45 a.m., followed by a memorial service at noon.
