• Benjamin Turney immigrated to Concord, Massachusetts, about 1638 together with Mary Odell with their four eldest children.⁴
• Benjamin was admitted freeman in June 1641 in Concord, Massachusetts.⁴
• He died in 1648 in Fairfield, Connecticut, at age ~43.¹

• He moved, probably with Rev. Mr. Jones, the Wheelers and others to Fairfield CT in September 1644, where he died four years later.

  The first, second and fourth children were baptized at Soulbury, Bucks, England; the fifth, sixth and seventh were born at Concord MA.

  The inventory of the estate of Benjamin Turney of Fairfield, taken 6 June 1648, was presented by Mary Turney 10 November 1648. The children's ages are given as: Mary 17, Robert 15, Judith 13, Ann 11, Rebecca 8, Sarah 6, Ruth 4, Benjamin 3. In 1661 receipts were given to Joseph Middlebrook (Mary's second husband) by Nathaniel Seeley in behalf of his wife and for use of sister Sarah; John Wheeler in behalf of his wife and for use of sister Ruth Turney and brother Benjamin Turney and sister Rebecca; and Stephen Sherwood who married the said Rebecca acknowledged receipt of her portion; also Thomas Sherwood receipted for his wife's portion. By 1673 John Wheeler had purchased from Stephen and Matthew Sherwood all their interest in right of their wives, the daughters of Benjamin Turney, deceased.⁴
