In 1646 Lucy was tried and fined for offensive remarks. She referred to her Pastor in England and a neighbor Mrs. Bennett cast out of the church there. She had evidently lived in Mass Bay before coming to New Haven.
She married Thomas Pell in 1647.
After Lucy married Tom Pell,she and Tom along with the younger Brewster children, moved to Fairfield.
Edward Parker said Mrs. Brewster 'had a notable pate'.
In 1654 Mrs. Pell and her daughters Elizabeth and Mary were witnesses in that cause celebre, the Staples suit against Mrs. Ludlow.
