Robert McEvoy Manly

Robert McEvoy Manly, 84, of Greeley Hill died Friday at Tuolumne General Hospital, Sonora.
Mr manly was a native of New London, Conn., and lived in Greeley Hill 26 years. He was a rancher and businessman for 50 years, and was an Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his children, Tim Manly of Jamestown, Tom Manly of Oakdale, Pat Manly of Lodi, Ken Manly of Midpines, Rosemary Gablin of Acampo, Molly Wood of Albuquerque, NN, Kitty Quayle of Placerville and Ann Lory of Piedmont; brothers, Pat Manly of San diego and Bill Manly of Santa Rosa; ad 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Private services. Terzich & Wilson Funeral Home, Sonora, in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Manly was a well-known long-distance runner who for many years competed in the Old Mill Run. He also completed more than 60 marathons and many ultra-marathons.
