Ithaca: Doris T. Austin, 79, of Ithaca, died Monday, August 27, 2012, at the Hospicare Residence. Born in Ithaca, she was the daughter of the late Judson and Thelma Grant Tutton. Mrs. Austin was a graduate of Ithaca High School and the Eastman Dental Dispensary School for Dental Hygienists at Rochester and worked many years as a dental hygienist. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Ithaca Elks Auxiliary. Mrs. Austin is survived by her children, Judson (Linda) Stiglich of Tennessee and Darlene (Ralph) Conant of Largo, FL; grandchildren, Judson, Jr. (Nicole) Stiglich of Crestview, FL, Gretchen (Aaron) Gibbs of Bear, DE, Melissa (Zoltan) Gergely of Ithaca, and Jesse (Sharlene) Conant of Largo, FL; great-grandchildren, Isaac and Josephine Stiglich, and Landon and Simon Gibbs. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edward W. Austin who died in 2001. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 1, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 114 Burleigh Dr., Ithaca. Burial will follow in Quick Cemetery, Brooktondale. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Friday, August 31, at the Wagner Funeral Home, 110 S. Geneva St., Ithaca.

Edward W. Austin, 81, of 104 Williams Glen Road, died Friday, June 8, 2001 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester.
Born August 30, 1919 in Spencer, he was a son of the late Edward H. and Mildred Bensley Austin. Prior to becoming a realtor in 1949, Mr. Austin had served in the U.S. Army during Word War II and was the owner of Ithaca Real Estate Agency. He was a member of Ithaca BPOE #636, Trumansburg American Legion and Ithaca Pistol Club. He was past president of Ithaca Board of Realtors and the New York State Board of Appraisals. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer.
Mr. Austin is survived by his wife of 28 years, Doris T. Austin of Ithaca daughters, Sandra (Lee) Walker of Carnesville, GA and Gail Maureen of Rochester six grandchildren a niece and nephew. In addition to his parents, Mr. Austin was predeceased by his brother, Alfred Austin.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 12, 2001 at the E.C. Wagner Funeral Home of Ithaca, Rev. David Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Quick Cemetery, Brooktondale. Friends may call from 6-8:00 P.M. Monday (tonight), June 11, 2001 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
