Know all men by this Presents That I Hepsibah Burr of Stratfield in the county of Fairfield wishing to set my house in order before I die being of a sound disposing mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and
testament -- After my first debts and funeral charges are paid by my executor hereafter named I would dispose of what estate it have pleased God to bless me with in the following manner + viz
Whereas my son Aaron Burr, who by reason of infirmity of body and imbecility of mind is rendered unable to take care and provided for himself, I give in charge unto my trusty friend & son in law Philimon Sherwood eight acres of land
contained in my homestead of equal quality with the rest of the land to be used, improved or sold by Philimon as in his judgment shall seem proper, the avails of which to be applied to the support & benefit of my son Aaron from
time to time as his cosignees may require and should any of the property remain after the decease of my son Aaron it shall be equally divided among all my children. To
my son John Burr I give and bequeath eight acres of land contained in my homestead of equal quality with rest of the land to him his heirs and assigns forever.
I given and bequeath unto my daughters Huldah wife to Daniel Curtis, Sarah wife to David Minot, Comfort Burr & Hepsibah wife to Philimon Sherwood all the
remainder of my land that I __________ of to be equally divided to and among them to their heirs and assigns forever and out of my moveable property I give
ten pounds to my son John Burr and ten pounds to my daughter Sarah wife of David Minot to be paid by my Executor in sixty days after my decease and the
remainder of my moveable property I would have equally divided among all my children of Elijah, Aaron, John, Huldah, Sarah, Comfort and Hepsibah - and I do
appoint for my Executor Philemon Sherwood and declare all other wills and testaments by me made to be null & void and this to be my last in testimony whereof, I hereunto set my hand & seal this 4th day of July 1805.
