MICHAEL SUGARMAN OBITUARY
Sugarman, Michael David SCHENECTADY Michael David Sugarman died on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at Kingsway Nursing Home in Schenectady where he had been a resident for several years. He was 80. The son of Emanuel and Florence Sugarman he was born in Hempstead, N.Y. on December 7, 1935.
He is survived by his former wife, Abigail Sugarman, who remained his devoted friend; his eldest son, Daniel Sugarman and daughter-in-law, Dorothy Wetzel, their son and daughter, Alex and Flora; his younger son, Franz Sugarman and daughter-in-law, Sharon Berger, their sons, Oliver and Sam; and his sister, Toni Pickard, her husband, Michael Pickard and their daughter and son, Hanna and Zach.
Michael David Sugarman graduated from the Hotchkiss School ('53), Harvard College (B.A. '57), and Brandeis University (M.A. '59). He studied English literature and went on to teach at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Skidmore College, and Union College. He later became the executive director of Albany County Opportunity Inc. He was a member of the N.A.A.C.P. and lifelong advocate for civil rights, registering voters in Mississippi in the early 1960's and participating in the March on Washington in 1963 and Poor Peoples Campaign in 1968. He played the viola and, as a listener and contributor to W.M.H.T. F.M., found great comfort in music. We are grateful to all of our fellow W.M.H.T. supporters.
The family would like to extend thanks to the staff at Kingsway, the staff at the Franklin Street Clinic, Mike Colletti, Bob DiNovo, Christina Tangredi Seagroatt, the employees of Ambition in downtown Schenectady and its owner, Marc Renson, for always making Michael feel welcome. A memorial service will be held for invited family and friends.

PARK CITY - A. Golden Kilburn, 53, Logan, wasw killed instantly Friday at 2:40 p.m. when the car in which he was a passenger crashed into a loaded ore train 2 1/2 miles east of here. Mr. Kilburn was a passneger in a car driven by James R. Barker, 45, Logan.
Mr. Barker was reported in "serious" condition Saturday in the Park City Hospital. He is suffering from a fractured spine, broken collarbone and chest and internal injuries. He is still unconscious.
Mr. Kilburn was thrown through the windshield of the car and beneath one of the ore cars. One leg was amputated. Head and internal injuries caused instant death.

LOGAN - Funeral services for A. Golden Kilburn, 53, extension conservationist at Utah State Agricultural College, will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Logan Fifth Ward Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Prof. Kilburn was killed in an accident near Park City Firday afternoon.
Friends may call at the Hall Mortuary in Logan Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Burial will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Bishop Ernest G. Earl with officiate at services.
Nada Arnell Kilburn
1931 ~ 2015
Nada Lanore Arnell Kilburn passed away September 25, 2015 in West Valley City, UT.
She was born March 20, 1931 in St. Charles, Idaho to William Stanley and Lanore Pugmire Arnell. Married Dale Golden Kilburn, June 3, 1953 in the Logan Temple. They made their residence in Granger, now West Valley City, UT. Dale preceded her in death June 25, 1965. Nada and Dale have four daughters.
Nada is survived by her four daughters, Dianne Kilburn, West Valley City, UT, Chris (Dale) Hulet, Bountiful, UT, Cyndy (Steve) Seeley, South Jordan, UT, Lisa (Matt) Arntsen, Salisbury, NC; 21 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother Elwin P. (Aileen) Arnell, Bountiful, UT; sister-in-law Ethel I. Arnell, South Jordan, UT.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 2, 2015, 11:00 a.m., at Jordan North Stake Center, 3900 South 4000 West, West Valley City, UT. Viewings will be held Thursday, October 1st, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and prior to the services Friday, 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Logan City Cemetery.

Sp. Fork Native Dies In Logan; Rites Wednesday
LOGAN — Funeral services for Heber Lee Hales Sr., 71, Logan, a native of Spanish Fork, will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Hall Mortuary Chapel in Logan, where friends may call tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to the services. Mr. Hales died Saturday at a Salt Lake hospital following a short illness.
He was born Dec. 14, 1897, in Spanish Fork, a son of Steven F. and Hilma C. Johnsson Hales. He married Lais Vernon on Jan. 16, 1918. She died July 20, 1961. He later married Maude C. Kilburn in the Logan LDS Temple on March 16, 1962. Mr. Hales had been a mail carrier for the Logan Post Ofice for many years. He was also a veteran of World War I. Mr. Hales was active in the LDS Church and had served as temple worker for many years.
Surviving are his widow of Logan; five daughters and three sons, Weston V. Hales, and Lais Wilkenson, both of Short Hills, N. J.; Heber Lee Hales, Logan; Francis Mae Anderson, Fair Oaks, Calif.; Clinton Dewitt Hales, Gardena, Calif.; Mrs. Jarrett (Marjorie) Anderon and Mrs. Edd (Aldyth) Stalder, both of Pocatello, and Mrs. Don (Dorothy) Mayhew, Salt Lake City; 27 grandchildren; one greatgrandchild, and one brother and one sister, Waiace Hales, Spanish Fork and Mrs. Ebis Stevenson, Salt Lake City.
Burial will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
