Verna L. Yoder, 93, of Wellan died Sundy, April 2, 2000, in Parkview Manor, Wellman, following a brief illness.
Graveside services were held at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 5, in the Wellman Cemetery. A Memorial service was 7 p.m. Wednesday, in the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman.
Born November 14, 1906, in Hesston, Kansas, she was the daughter of William and Mary (Bilau) Cummings.
She was united in marriage to Edwin Yoder, May 28, 1929 in Hesston. They moved to Iowa in 1930 and lived near Holbrook until moving to Wellman in 1953.
Mrs. Yoder was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Iowa County Farm Bureau and the Wellman Garden Club.
Survivors include one brother, Maurice and wife Eunice Cummings of Harrisonville, Missouri; one sister, Maxine and Veryl Westover of Tampa Florida; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Hazel Troyer.
Memorials may be made to Parkview Manor. Powell Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Kalona News, April 6, 2000.

Edwin Yoder, 91, died Sunday Jan 7 1996, in the University Hospital, Iowa City, after an extended illness. Services: 10:30 am Sat, Asbury United Methodist Church, by Pastors Mark Collins, Eugene Blosser, Arlin Yoder and Eldon Yoder.
Burial: Wellman Cemetery.

Survivors: his wife Verna, a brother Oren of Wellman, and a sister Katie Ellen Yoder of Kalona.
He was the son of Manasseh and Millie (Zimmerman) Troyer and was born near Crystal Springs, Kansas, on June 25, 1905. He passed away after an illness of a few hours on June 11, 1957.
On Oct. 26, 1930, he was married to Hazel Lorene Cummings. To this union were born 2 daughters.
He was a member of the Crystal Springs Mennonite Church.
Survivors include: his wife, 2 daughters, his parents, 6 sisters, one brother an d many other relatives and friends.
Jerry Wayne Miller passed from this life on earth to his eternal life in heaven on April 11, 2015. Jerry was born on September 5, 1933 to Gerald and Helen (Hatfield) Miller at their home outside of Anthony, KS. He graduated from Anthony High School and went to work at Boeing in Wichita, Kansas during which time he married Barbara Joyce Troyer in 1957 in Anthony. This union was blessed with two daughters which were his pride and joy.
During his life he became a mentor to not only his girls but to many young people in the Anthony - Harper area. He instilled in all of them the meaning of a good hard days work. Many of which attribute their adult work ethics to. His daughters learned at an early age that all they needed to do was to look into his eyes and they would be able to tell just how much trouble they were really in. Dark blue meant BAD.
Jerry was baptized in 1957 and became a member of the Methodist Church. At his passing he was a member of Harper United Methodist Church. He served on the Anthony Co-op board as a member and also as President for several years. He was a 50 year Mason member and also served on the Harper Airport board after earning his pilots license at the ripe old age of 51. He and Barbara enjoyed flying around the area with friends and occasionally to Oklahoma to see Jana.
Jerry was a lifetime farmer and even after retirement remained in the "farming loop" by visiting with friends at the local coffee hangout. He will be missed by all.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Barbara, of the home, brothers Haynes and wife Frankie of Kiowa, KS and David and wife Ronda of Attica, KS. Daughters Kim Naccarato and her husband Vince of Hutchinson, KS and Jana Wedman and her husband Jeff of Claremore, OK; grandchildren Wesley Wedman and his wife Becky, Tyler Wedman, Chris Dolley and his wife Tarika, and Erica Naccarato; great grandchildren Oliver and Penelope Wedman and Lowyn Dolley; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
