William Lamson was born estimated 1617 in England probably in Essex County.¹
He immigrated in 1634 with the ships set out by Matthew Cradock, who was the first governor of Mass (Matthew never came to New England even though he was the governor. He transferred government of the settlement to the settlement in 1629.) Matthew sent out the ships to establish fishing and trading posts on the Atlantic.
William was possibly a brother of Barnabas, who settled at Cambridge, and Thomas, who settled at New Haven, CT.
He settled in Ipswich and was granted land there in 1637 and 1640. Since 1678 there has been Lamson's Hill in Ipswich.
William was admitted freeman on 17 May 1637 in Ipswich, Massachusetts.²
He married Sarah Ayers, daughter of John Ayers and Hannah Evered, in 1640 in Ipswich, Massachusetts.³
He served as fence viewed.²
William Lamson died about 1 January 1658/59 in Ipswich, Massachusetts, at age ~42.
Inventory of his estate was taken It was valued at £111.10.2 - a considerable fortune at that time.

Thomas Leavenworth was a doctor.
Thomas was called Dr. A man of position, influence and wealth. He lived in Stratford in Ripon Parish, where he owned land near Mill River. Very religious, a deacon in the church at Ripton. Mary's sister Hannah married George Johnson and lived in Stratford. George died, his wife Hannah had 3 sons and 5 daughters. She was appointed guardian 4 children, Thomas was chosen guardian 2 Feb 1714/15 by John (age 18) and appointed for Hannah (age 16) and Elizabeth (14).
He died on 4 August 1754 at age ~81.

He married Rachel Richards, daughter of Obadiah Richards and Hannah Andrews, on 14 June 1704 in Waterbury, Connecticut.
Jeremiah and Rachel lived in Waterbury, Connecticut.
He was a highly respected citizen in Waterbury. He collected town rates in 1703, constable 1713, 1717, 1723, and a deputy to the General Court of CT in 1720 and 1721. He was appointed one of the first deacons of Northbury Church 1739-1746. He was also a man of wealth..
He died in 1752 at age ~85.
