James LeRoy "Roy" Miller
Roy Miller, age 82, passed away December 7, 2000 at Cottonwood Hospital after a short illness.
Born Dec. 28, 1917 in Murray, Utah to James DeLoyd and Beatrice Alice Mounteer Miller. Married Erma Louise Eldredge Dec. 19, 1941 in Salt Lake City, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They enjoyed 59 years of marriage. Roy served in the U.S. Army in World War II. He worked as a master mechanic for Willow Creek Country Club, and also worked for 35 years for Birrell Bottling Company.
Survivors: wife; three sons, Brent, of Murray; Paul (Patty), of Kamas; Gil (Deby), Riverton; and one daughter, Wendy of Midvale; brother, Bill (LaRue); sisters, Faye Petersen, Peg Hobbs (Lee), Dede Reed (Bob), June Matthiesen (Nephi), Illeen Thompson (Pres), Bonnie Eaton (Walt) and Ann Brown; eight grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, 11 a.m. at the Springtree Ward, 5600 So. Vine St. (800 East) Murray. Friends may call Sunday 5-7 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State, Murray and at the church Monday one hour prior to services.
Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
Mary died in her sleep of natural causes, at age 86. She was born to Ray Eugene Dillman & Mildred Myrtle Miles Dillman. She was married in the Salt Lake Temple, to Harold Salmon Eldredge, June 17, 1949.
Preceded in death by her husband, Earl Salmom Eldredge; her siblings: Earl Dillman, Miles Dillman & Dorothy Dillman Hunnsaker. Survived by her sister, Naomi Dillman Lunt(Paul); her children: Brett Eugene Eldredge(Laura McLachlin), Leesa Eldredge Dupree(John Dupree, Jr.), Mary JoAnn Eldredge Simons(Thomas); 10 grandchildren & 2 gr-granddaughters.
Memorial Service: Aug 18, 2012, 2:00 p.m., Deseret Building , Fair Oaks, CA. She is buried next to her husband, Harold.
