At Rest
Young Son of Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Crossman Succumbs to Disease.
Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Crossman were called to mourn the loss of their infant child Sunday. The little one was only a few months old, and for some time past had not been well. It began growing steadily worse the last of the week and Dr. Milburn advice that it be taken to the hospital for an operation as a last resort. Preparations were being made to go but the strain was too much and the little life was snuffed out before the trip could be made.
Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Clayon conducting the services.
The bereaved parents have the sympathy of the community in their loss.
This lovely bud so young, so fair
Called hence by early doom,
Just come to show how sweet a flower
In paradise would bloom.
E’re sin could harm or sorrow fade.
Death came with friendly care,
The opening bud to heaven conveyed
And bade it blossom there.
