Excerpts from obit.
Mrs. Henings died Sunday at her home following a heart attack. Born in Iowa she was married in 1888 and moved to Roaring River, Mo. from where she moved to Fairland, Okla. She moved to Redfork sometime between 1908-1910. She helped organize the First Community church and later became a member of Epworth Methodist Church when it was organized. She was secretary of the Red Fork cemetery from 1919 until her death. During WWI she was a leader of the Red Fork Red Cross and during WWII she was instructor of knitting at the Red Fork Red Cross center. She was also an election judge in Pct. 117.
MRS. HENNING WAS NEVER THE OWNER OF RED FORK (CLINTON OAKS) CEMETERY.
After her death, Clayton Sawyer was the President of the Clinton Oaks Cemetery Association. Later the cemetery was taken over by the City of Tulsa. Stories in the Tulsa World have indicated that the City of Tulsa inherited the property from her after her death. THIS IS NOT TRUE.
