Thomas married an unknown wife in England.²
He immigrated to Saybrook, Connecticut, in 1638 with his son Thomas Jr. He left his wife and daughter Mary (and possibly other children) back in England.³
In 1639 Thomas moved to Hartford, Connecticut, He was one of the founders of Hartford. His home lot, which he received 'by the courtesie of the town' was on the west side of the present Albany Ave.²
Thomas had a brother named Stephen who was born in 1612 in England. He was a resident of Boston in 1635. He was a Sawyer.
He married Elizabeth Fuller on 23 January 1646/47 in Hartford, Connecticut.²
They were among the first settlers of Farmington.²
He died on 19 July 1655 in Farmington, Connecticut, at age ~42.³
The cause of his death was fever and smallpos - epidemic. His daughter Elizabeth died one day later.³
Inventory of his estate was taken It amounted to £108.8.²
