03/19/2003 BARBARA KIRBY HAYWARD SOUTH BURLINGTON - Barbara Kirby Hayward, 78, of South Burlington, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, in the Vermont Respite House in Williston following a long illness. She was born in Burlington, on Aug. 14, 1924, daughter of the late Chester and Clara (Dupaw) Kirby.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 58 years David Hayward of South Burlington; her daughter, Marka Watson and her husband, Russ; two grandchildren, Jennifer LeUnes and her husband, Chay, and Brad Watson; four great-grandchildren Jack, Julian, Isaac and Emma. She also leaves a sister-in-law Carol Vanderpol and her husband, Jim; a step-sister-in-law, Anne Hart and her husband, Ken; a special niece and nephew, Karen Kirby Gagne, and Bruce Kirby; and several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 22, at 2:00 p.m. in the LaVigne Funeral Home. Interment will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association, 1110 Prim Rd., Colchester, Vt. 05446, or to the Vermont Respite House, 99 Allen Brook Lane, Williston, Vt. 05495. Visiting hours will be Saturday at 12:00 noon until the time of the service in the LaVigne Funeral Home, 132 Main St. Winooski, Vt.
