An obituary was published in the Syracuse Post Standard on 26 June 2012

Avis H. Spingler, of the Boyle Center, Auburn, passed away peacefully at Matthew House on Monday, June 25, 2012. She was born on August 5, 1927 in Elbridge to the late Warren and Reva (Nesbitt) Hill. Avis was predeceased by her husband, Harold A. Tom Spingler and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Weedsport.

She is survived by her children, Thomas A. Spingler (Donna), Kenneth R. Spingler (Kathleen), Carol A. Walsh (David), all of Weedsport, Craig D. Spingler (Bonnie) of Port Byron; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 29, at 11 a.m. at White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Dr., Weedsport . Avis will be buried, immediately after the service, beside her husband at Weedsport Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Avis H. Spingler may be made to Hospice of the Finger Lakes, 1130 Corporate Dr., Auburn or Matthew House, 43 Metcalf Dr., Auburn.

Published in Syracuse Post Standard from June 26 to June 27, 2012.¹
