Lawrence Bloomer
The graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 13, at Resthaven Memorial Park in Eugene for Lawrence "Larry" Bloomer of Eugene, who died July 5 of complications of a stroke. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
He was born March 31, 1924, in Eugene to Fred and Ruby Emery Bloomer. He married Kathlyn Jensen on Dec. 8, 1942, in Eugene.
Bloomer graduated from Eugene High School in 1941. He served in the Army Air Force in World War II from 1943 to 1945 in the western Pacific. He was a foreman for Southern Pacific Railroad for 40 years and worked as a gunsmith for many years, operating Larry's Gun Shop.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Connie Mueller of Eugene and Jennie Clark of Springfield; two sisters, Susan Peters of La Pine and Betty Powers of Okay, Okla.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Kathlyn Bloomer
SPRINGFIELD — A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 10, at Rest-Haven Memorial Park, Eugene, for Kathlyn "Kathy" Alice Bloomer of Springfield. She died July 1 of age-related causes. She was 84.
She was born Aug. 4, 1924, in Portland, to Rolf and Catherine Davis Jensen. She and her husband, Lawrence, were married on Dec. 10, 1942, in Eugene. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include daughters Connie Mueller of Eugene, and Jennie Clark of Springfield; and four grandchildren.
Remembrances to Greenhill Humane Society or the Alzheimer's Association of Oregon.
