Remember me when flowers bloom early in the Spring.
Remember me on sunny days, in the fun that summer brings.
Remember me in the Fall, as you walk through the leaves of gold.
And remember me in the wintertime, in the stories that are told.
But most of all remember, each day right from the start.
I will be forever near, for I live within your heart

I wish Heaven had a phone
so I could hear your voice again.
I thought of you today,
but that is nothing new,
I thought of you yesterday,
and days before that too.
I think of you in silence,
I often speak your name.
All I have are memories
and a picture in a frame.
Your memory is a keepsake,
from which I'll never part.
...God has you in his arms,
I have you in my heart.?

She married Verlin B. Anderson of California April 28, 1957. They adopted Cindy and Debby, very lucky children to be specially chosen.
While raising her children she was the embodiment of a homemaker. In her spare time, she went on field trips, was room mother, and baked treats to take to school on birthdays. We always got to pick what kind of cake we wanted for our birthday.

Mother continued to enjoy painting, mostly oils and some watercolors. She was a wonderful sketcher and painter, and many of her works are in our homes. She loved to travel, eventually visiting every state except North Dakota, as well as Cuba, Mexico, Canada, Great Britain, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Lichtenstein.
Mother also loved animals, having Boston Terriers Tiny and Snoopy while with her parents, then Boston Terriers Pepper, Tammy and Missy, followed by adopted brother and sister cats Bonnie and Clyde.
Mother was very family oriented, and all of her life her family came first. She enjoyed the company of her immediate family, her mother being her best friend, and all of her many aunts, uncles and cousins. Later, she had granddaughters Melissa and Hollie, and great-grandchildren Braydon and Keeley to enjoy spending time with.

He was the first son to Macy and Marvin Sparks. Jay graduated from high school in 1940 in Montpelier. He was a four year letterman in boxing and track.
After graduation he enlisted in the Air Force in Salt Lake City. He was assigned to the 17th Bomb Group in Tacoma, Wash., (which was the group that bombed Tokyo, with B-25Œs flown off an aircraft carrier). This was under Colonel Jimmy Doolittles plan. He was proud of the Air Force and even prouder to have served. He was promoted to Master Sgt and later as 1st Sgt of the 475th Bomb Squadron at the age of 22. He retired from the Air Force in 1963 as a Senior Master Sgt and World War II Veteran. After that, Jay spent one year in civil services as an Assistant Commissary Officer. Due to his fatherfs declining health, Jay resigned his commission and returned to Montpelier in 1965.

Jay married Emma Lou Walker in Shreiveport, La., in 1942. By this union they had three children; Barry, Gloria, and Deanna. They later divorced in 1965.
He married Marina Pugmire in 1978. From this union he gained two beautiful step daughters that he considered his own, Frances Cook and Donna Bienz. They enjoyed many vacations together in Mexico, Bahamas, California, and Florida, just to name a few. Marina and Jay spent several years as snowbirds going to Yuma, Ariz. in the winters. Jay was a member of the LDS church. He belonged to the VFW and other military organizations. He enjoyed fly fishing and hunting with one of his best friends, Don Kunz. He also enjoyed all sports and would watch them all on T.V. but what he really enjoyed was watching his grandchildren and even great-grandchildren playing sports.
