LYLE -- The funeral for Genevieve Ross will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Clasen-Jordan Chapel in Austin with the Rev. Ralph Williams officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Mona, Iowa.

Mrs. Ross, 95, of Bellingham, Wash., formerly of Lyle, died Friday, (Nov. 29, 1996). Genevieve Dahl was born March 22, 1901, in Lyle, and graduated from Lyle High School in 1918, and also graduated from Nyack Bible College in New York. On March 25, 1941, she married Paul Ross in Lyle. She was a homemaker and taught school for several years in Minnesota and Alberta, Canada. She was a resident of Bellingham for 10 years. She and her husband, who died in 1992, were active in The Gideon's and were members of the Northside Community Church.

Survivors include a son, Gordon of Vancouver, B.C.; a daughter, Jean Taylor of Longwood, Fla.; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. A sister and four brothers preceded her in death.

Friends may call an hour before the service Monday at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary. Memorials are preferred to the Gideon Memorial Bible Chairman, Box 2011, Bellingham, WA 98227.1
